ANIMAL REIKI
Reiki is a Japanese spiritual practice based in meditation. Rei (universal), Ki (life force/energy). Animals are often not truly understood and similarly they do not always understand us. However, animals seem to be more ‘aware of’ and ‘understanding of’ energy.
The goal of offering Reiki to animals is to promote relaxation, stress-relief and a greater sense of wellbeing. This in itself, is a good enough reason to have a session. However, in turn, self-healing for body, mind and spirit; (physical, mental and emotional), are also promoted.
Reiki also allows us to communicate together in a mutual language, thus enhancing our relationships.
Reiki is not an alternative to conventional veterinary care; it does not diagnose, nor is it a 'cure'. However, it is increasingly used as a complimentary practice in such cases. The Reiki Practitioner does not heal, nor are they a source of energy, they are a channel for the energy.
